I’d probably stay at another hotel next time but I don’t see us returning to SLC.Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Salt Lake City-Airport West is located approximately 2 miles from Salt Lake International Airport and a short drive from the downtown area of Salt Lake City. And then we had to go up to level 3 for airline checkin. ![]() It’s interesting that they don’t drop you off at the “departure” area but level 1 for the hotel pickup. We reserved the airport shuttle for 9:30am and he was there waiting for us. I think they are short staffed like everywhere. There was a hole in the bathroom door as if someone punched it. After a total of 30 min the shuttle driver finally came. We called the Holiday Inn again and after 3rd tried, the staff picked up the phone and said he’d call again. He said he saw the shuttle driver in the “waiting parking lot” just sitting there. After 20 min and no shuttle, we stopped another hotel shuttle driver to see if he could take us to his hotel and we’d walk back to the HI. We called the hotel to get the shuttle to take us back to the hotel. Then we took our rental car back to the airport the night before we left. Then the next day, our room keys didn’t work, so we had to go back down and get new keys. We went back down and the front staff was very kind, apologized and gave us vouchers for free breakfast for the 2 days we were there and, of course, gave us a new room. After we checked in and went to our room (at around 7:30pm) housekeeping never cleaned the room from the last guest.
